Adventures in Inflammation Research

Speaker: Professor Luke O’Neill - Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland

Abstract: Inflammatory diseases still represent a huge burden on human health. There is a pressing need to develop new therapeutics to slow down or even reverse progression in disease such as inflammatory bowel disease, osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease to name but a few. New targets and processes are being explored with particular excitement around inflammasomes and immunometabolism, both of which will be covered in this lecture.
